Born with roots in Germany and the Philippines.
I'm Laura Lynn Reyes, a designer based in Zurich, Switzerland. My studies at the University of the Arts allowed me to combine my fascinations with in-depth design principles.
Working for gastronomic projects raised my awareness of organic waste—a by-product of food production. Intrigued by raw aesthetics and tactility, I began questioning: "Can design help us understand waste as something valuable?" and "How can this value become visible and tangible?"
What began as an exploration into the potentials of waste evolves into a more nuanced approach—utilizing byproducts And Waste-Based Materials as tools to explore topics at the intersection of The Everyday, Rituals and Home, blending material Exploration and design practices.
